Here are some sunset shots i took at the newly completed Bintulu Waterfront.
I notice that the sunset over here are much more spectacular
than those we can see over in peninsular Malaysia,
probably because of the open sea here.
The Kelirieng or burial pole at Kampung Pandan,Sebauh in Bintulu division belongs to a Punanaristrocrat(chief) is said to be more than 300 years old according to some locals here.
It is carved out of a Berlian tree trunk from the top to bottom
and hollowed at the top to placed the jar containing the chief's bones.
The porcerlain jar i think is from the Ming Dynasty era(similar design Ming bowl)
and i have heard of similar jar price going up to about RM200,000,
that's why the signboard came up,
warning some crazy thief to stay away from the jar.
The flower theme jar.
The only signboard for this historical pole,
one of about 30 still left standing.
Simon,Edward and Mangkat by the pole.
