Debunking the Paloh Hinai Shipwreck Saga
I bumped into the answers to this 130 years old shipwreck
while doing some research on William Bibby's Pekan route
with some good help from Mr Victor Bibby, great grandson of William
who provided me with a document of an interview of Mr Hume Black
by Straits Times dated 3rd March 1891..after he inspected the
Raub Australian Syndicate properties.
On the return journey downstream from Raub to Pekan
he passed by the "Sri Pahang" shipwreck not far from Pekan.
A similar size Stern wheeler to Sri Pahang(above),
this one plying the Kuantan Pasir Kemudi route
for Pahang Corporation(Sungai Lembing)
(Credits to Chan Chew Studio)
A blueprint of a much bigger Missouri River stern wheeler for reference.
Report on the lost of Sri Pahang in December 1888.
by Punjom and Sunchie Dua Samantan Mining Company. Ltd.
(Punjom and Sungai Dua Semantan Mining Company Ltd)

Tanjong Pagar Dock Company in 1887
and is specially adapted for running in shallow rivers
her draft loaded being 30 inches, length 85 feet.....
