was where the annexation of Labuan from the Brunei Sultanate was commemorated
on the 24 December 1846 by a flag raising ceremony.
It was a bitter handover to the British that Pengiran Shahbandar Pengiran Muhammad Salleh,
an advisor to the sultanate who strongly opposed the move
wrote a very meaningful poem entitled 'Syair Rakis Dua Belas"
'Pulau Labuan diminta segera
Akan jalan tiang bendera
Di situ tempat berkira-kira
Dari Sarawak ke Singapura
Dagang tercengang mendengar titah
Hati didalam sangat gelabah
Labuan ini bukannya mudah
Alamat negeri dibawah perintah
Berdatang sembah dagang asmara
Ke bawah Duli Seri Bitara
Bukannya mudah dibawah bendera
Jikalau kurang-kurang juhara'
For if it is true that the flag post is the same one
then something ought to be done about it,
ignorance means we are forgetting our past
and how we came about.
A google earth picture.
Are these part of the fallen flag post?
And these concrete block,is it part of the toppled flag post?
Race to the finish,Menumbuk speedbot and local water taxi.

renaye,
There's a simple solution, upright the fallen flag post and reclaim some land till the post and we have it on ground again but will anyone do it?
Diving,i think it will appear on a very low tide.
