Tras New Village on the old Bentong to Raub road is the Durian Valley of Raub,
producing hundreds of basket of durian each season and you can find it sold in many places in peninsular Malaysia.
The two row of old pre war shophouse at the new village is a place which stood still for more than half a decade.

ReplyDeleteWe might not be able to see all these old buildings in future because at present mostly old timers are staying there with youngsters migrating to cities,thks for visiting.

ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you happen to have any contacts of the durian sellers or orchard owners? I am organizing a car club drive, and we are keen to stop in Tras to sample their durians.
Errh,have to check first once i am back from Sarawak,but i think this durian season is over!
