Fancy walking to an island?

Pulau Konet is a small island about 100m off Telok Gong,Malacca
and it is sort of a Tombolo where you will be able to walk to it during low tide although the waters
there are quite muddy and not suitable for swimming activities.
The beach in this area is considered dirty,
in the sense that it is the place
where people throw away ashes of their loves ones
or other unwanted things besides discharge from swine farms nearby.
'Konet' in malay means penis and from this angle the land bridge and the island looks
like one!

The land bridge view from the island.

Eroded red laterite stones on the island.

The island is totally cut off during high tide.

GUESS? ads on an uprooted and burned tree.

The other neighbouring island,Pulau Keramat as what the local here called it
maybe because there are some graves on the island.
It is also used by some local fisherman
as a safe refuge to park their boats.
It is about 30m from the mainland is accessible during low tide.

Typical reddish laterite stones found everywhere in Malacca
and also used for the construction of the three forts in Malacca.
