I was in town for the famous Penang road Teochew chendul
and was so surprise to find the whole town smelling good and clean
something which i never thought will ever happen in my lifetime,
probably a change in the state administration did the trick
or being selected as a Unesco World Heritage Site?
anyway kudos to those of Municipal Council of Penang Island
who did an excellent job cleaning up the whole island
true to their slogan 'Cleaner Greener Penang'.
The towering Komtar is famous enough
for the big glass of 'teh Tarik' to be called 'Teh Komtar'
The old Majestic Theatre build in 1926 remains as majestic as ever
even after all this years being abandoned.
The shops on the same row as the cinema.
Notice the 786 code on the restaurant signboard
it's a sort of a Davinci Code of the Indian Muslim restaurant operators.
The famous Penang Road chendul stall.
The arch at the entrance of Campbell Street.
Row of trishaw neatly parked awaiting customers.
Hameediyah Restaurant serves the best Nasi Biryani that i have ever eaten.
Odeon Cinema is another one of the famous place of yesteryear
and is still today.
Hang Chow Cafe & Hotel is as gleaming as ever,
a place frequented by 'Mat Sallehs'.
Line Clear seems very clear nowadays.
Take a look at the clean Penang Road.
