Teluk Bahang Dam

Teluk Bahang Dam on the northwestern part of Penang island
is a water supply storage dam belonging to PBA.
It have a dam crest of height 53.5m and length 685m.
One thing special of this place is that it's opened to public
and the lake is also used for boating activities.








The spillway to drain off excess water.

  3. seeing these photos of reservoirs remind me about the situation of ours in Mauritius...here we are suffering from drought and our reservoirs are nearly empty...

    this region appears to be rainy with a relatively mild temperature

    There is another dam situated about 230m ASL,
    the Air Itam Dam,
    it's further up the road behind Kek Lok Si and jipp,i think your friend must be referring to this one,because Tlk Bahang Dam is only about 50m ASL.

    over population could be the cause as water resources on a small island is usually very limited,here in Penang island fresh water is mostly taken from the mainland.
