There are quite a number of old trains on display around Malaysia
and i will try to document it here beginning with
the trains displayed at the Army Museum in Port Dickson.
564-12 Alor Gajah a steam locomotive from the FMSR Class O
and an armoured train which is used to guard the railway service
from the communist during the emergency period begining 1948 till 1960.
A monument to honour our fallen heroes.
The Armoured Wickham Trolley on display with the FMSR emblem.

ReplyDeleteIt's time that the myth that this loco is 564.12 (or 564.21 as it once was) is debunked. There is absolutely no evidence for this save the painted numbers and names, actually these locomotives carried brass plates when in service. Most likely it is 564.25 for reasons I won't go into here. The locomotive at Bukit Mertajam (formerly Butterworth) is NOT 564.25 it is a pre WW2 example most likely 562.04 despite the fact that it has the 'right plates'.
