Perhentian Kecil's Look Out Point

This is one of the most beautiful island look out point that i have ever been to.
Located at about 100 meters above sea level,
the place is actually part of the stairways from the Wind Turbine
to a jetty below which have since collapsed probably due to unsuitable design.

Notice the blown off solar panels.

The collapsed jetty.

Rusting wires used as side railing pose a hazard to visitors especially children.
and if nothing is done to repair these railing and the jetty soon
i am afraid it will become another white elephant.

Crystal clear waters here.

An environmentally friendly hybrid power project launch with so much fanfare in 2007
is now at a crossroad, with the 2 Wind Turbine downed for quite sometime
and some of solar panels at the stairways blown off by strong wind
there is an urgent need to get everything running back again
to justify the money spend.

The fencing is dotted with holes.

A peek shot from the hole.

The walk up the hill from Long Beach following the transmission lines takes about 15 minutes.

  9. wow. Never seen, nor heard of this place before. It looks so beautiful. I should hv been a place of great potential. Still, good maintenance is necessary to keep tourists coming.
