One of the greatest joke to start the new year with
is the RM500 cap on smart phone
purchased
in order for it to qualify for the RM200 rebate.
The news line goes like this,
'The Government's plan in giving out RM200 rebate
for smartphones worth not more than RM500 next year
is to convert non-smartphone users to bridge the digital divide'
I think we should ask a gadget savvy 3 year old kid
what a smart phone is and whether they would want any of those 20 in the list
or probably we should just stay with these not so smart antique phones bellow.
those are yours bro thomas? wahh masih simpan henpon lama yee.., ehhEe
ReplyDeleteWak,
DeleteYah,koleksi saya,masih tak lengkap.
alasan gomen, rebat tu utk golongan kurang berkemampuan utk beli smart phones mahal..:)
ReplyDeleteehh...koleksi u tu dah boleh buka muzium dah...banyak..
ReplyDeleteKamsiah,
DeleteBelum cukup lagi Koleksi saya.
Hahaha still remember the first one, my brother in law had one and it does not cheap back then. Now the first one looked like a water bottle. I rather have rebates on phone bill, we had rebates on our water and electricity bill twice a year, the smaller your home you get more rebates but is per household. For individual above 21 we get GST vouchers, the amount will depend on our income and type of housing we lived in.
ReplyDeleteAlice,
DeleteThe "Tai kor Tai'phones of yesteryears are very powerful
and useful back then, even used for fighting.
I don't agree to the GST,it is like taxing everybody even the poor.
Thomas, I too agree about the GST. The GST vouchers are rebates for the GST. It was a pleasure shopping in countries where there's no sales tax at all.
Deletewahh nice collections bro :)
ReplyDeleteI've used the old Motorola and Nokia in this pic. Quite expensive back then but quickly phased out after the introduction of smartphones.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the govt is again going flip-flop with the 3G smartphone decision. Rebate now extended to non-smartphone, and most recently the RM500 cap was lifted. I wonder what's next........let me guess..they lift the age requirement. People like me who are over 30 yrs of age will also enjoy the rebate
de engineur,
DeleteFlip-flop every where, from Lynas to smart phones.
It looks like we have a bunch of old school of thought ministers
who've lost track of reality.
The country is going to suffer in the long term
with them in power.
