Around Labuan with shutdown crew

It's always nice to be able to work will a group of seasoned crew
which you are familiar with as it'll make tough work looks easy
and it'll not be fun working everyday
without some sightseeing around the island.

a shot here at the Lion Rock with  our crew from Sarawak.

By the rocks of Tanjung Layang-layangan.

With the mystical Hunchback Rock.

Jemat with a carcass of an unusually large king crab.

Rocks embedded into a uprooted tree stump

A shot at the entrance of the Chimney Museum.

The Labuan Chimney and it's ruins clearly shows that it was once a kiln
most probably producing bricks and ceramic wares
utilizing the abundance of local coal and clay around the area
just like the Malayan Collieries Ltd did at Batu Arang,Selangor.

A small jetty at Lubuk Temiang.

The local sea food Restaurant,Anjung Ketam at Tanjung Aru.

Another one,Terumbu Warisan nearby.

visiting the Papayas Beach Lodge at Nagalang Beach.

Tanjung Purun beach in front of Tiara Hotel.

First encounter with a life Bamboo shellfish clamp.

beef soto.

Noodle Fish soup.

Teh madras and fried noodle with chicken at Choice Restaurant.

Mean while our Iban friends prefer some beer with a light meal.

And on the wild side, this iguana will make a nice meal too for the Iban.

  1. Ok, The food pictures have taken the shots of the nature. That said, I still am a big lover of nature and plenty of noodles too.

    1. de engineur,
it's a planned major inspection with lots of parts replacement
since this is an ex-SGI 30 years old machine
unlike those sudden breakdowns of new turbines at KK's IPP.
