It is the only Flea market which opens daily(8am to 2pm) in Malaysia.
A night market of sort, offering from antiques,second hand goods,watches,clothing
to fruit and food
and is most crowded on weekends as more stalls will be opened.

Orient,Rado,Seiko etc,not all are original.

Wah, this place looks like Singapore's Sungai Road (also known as Thieves Market).. Can see interesting stuffs being sold at times. Quite similar to those in ur pics!

Very interesting. I am staying in one of the hotels along Jalan Penang. Hope I can find the flea market. My hubby normally do not read blogs but he enjoyed looking at your post on Penang. :) Going there tomorrow. Been more than 14 or 15 years since we visited Penang but had always been staying at Batu Ferringhi.
in Mauritius we too have those kind of small markets mushroomed around the island in such places you can find almost everything ;)

sekitar tahun 1980-an BR tinggal di penang (beach street) dan rope walk(asal) selalu menjadi kunjungan.
dipindahkan atas sbb2 keselamatan krn peniaga sebenar telah bercampur dgn peniaga brg2 curi.
satu lagi tempat barangan antik di PP ialah di butterworth iaitu di taman selat. cuba mr thomas ke sana.
