what a beautiful review!!!!!!! Made me long to be there.
Yah!A very nice country to visit,
mostly frozen in the sixties.
great feature! you've captured the country's simple life. I hope to visit this beautiful country soon! :)
Where did you stay In Myanaung ? What was the journey like from Yangon to there - hoping to go 2017.
Angela,I stayed at the Powerplant's quarters and i didn't notice any hotel around at that time. The road from Yangoon after crossing the Irrawaddy is real bad then, nothing much to see on the way there.
Hi Thomas - did you see any churches or cemetaries in Myanaung - my great grandfather lived there until 1911. My mum and her family stayed there when the Japanese invaded Rangoon. I wanted to see if there are still traces of the Francis family there
Angela,i am sure there are churches there but i was too busy with work then and didn't see much except for a few outing.I am sure you can find something when you go there and enquire as people there are very friendly.I also notice in Google earth taht there are small motel around town now.
