the four of us,myself,Haji Rahman,Yaakob and Zulhelmie went by a taxi we chartered for
RM250 which is suppose to bring us right up to the gate and back to Bintulu.
At the tamu of Miri Bakun junction.
Haji Rahman looking for the 'Salak' fruit.
Stop for tea at the Highway Cafe on the Bintulu Bakun road after Kampung Asap,
by the way only non halal food is served here.
Bamboo wall looks great for an airy wall.
A fish pond beside the cafe and the house which is a sort of homestay for people looking for a real quiet village life in the middle of no where.
The main gate of the project site, that is as far as our taxi can take us.
Arrrgg!
The next time i come,
i will make sure i get right to the turbine hall and the top of the dam,
with proper papers.
The Bakun project contractors.
Me and Yaakob, hah! he may have to come back to work here in future
because Sarawak Hidro which owns the dam is now partly own by TNB.
The view of the Bakum Dam from the gate with its spillway on the right.
This Kenyalang decorated Kenyah/Kayan graves on the way to Kampung Asap,
the new settlement for those dislodged by the dam project.
