British WW2 Pillbox in Kuantan (part 5)

The Kuantan Airbase pillbox no 5 is situated near the passenger terminal
by the side of the runway not far from a watch tower.
I think there should be a few more around the side fences of the airbase
they are actually build after the war.

The Kampung Sungai Belat Pillbox

after some riverbank cleaning works.





The Permatang Badak Pillbox

almost got into the way of a road expansion,

but for how long.

Maybe it should be shifted somewhere safer

to a park or memorial for WW2 relics?

British WW 2 pillbox in Kuantan(part 4)

The Balok Pillbox is situated at Kampung Balok
and it is about 100m from the beach front.
This pillbox is part of a series along the beach front
and river crossing meant to defend the Kuantan Aerodome(airbase)
from the invading Japanese force.

The Tanah Putih sunken pillbox is situated on the left side of the bridge across the Kuantan river(view from Kuantan side)and is only visible during very low tide.(view from the bridge out of town)
