It caught me by surprise
to see so many anglers by the Klang River
but they were actually fishing for catfish
which were released by woshipers of a chinese temple
not far away,
for a moment i taught the river is alive again.
For more than a century
the rich cultural diversity in Klang
have been the main catalyst for the continuous prosperity and development
of this royal town
so let's keep it that way for as long as we can.
The majestic Masjid Bandar Diraja Klang.
Kai Hong Hoo Temple.
The grand old Church of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Sri Maha Mariamman Temple at section 7,
the most beautiful Hindu temple in Malaysia.
Some old photos from my collection of dredging works
by the Klang River
at the cooling water pump(CWP)house intake
of the Connaught Bridge Power Station
back in 1974 when the old steam station
was still running.
Seen in the background were the old Connaught Bridge, a bailey bridge
and old KTM's Truss railway bridge
which were replaced by concrete ones in the 90ies.
The barge somewhere in Port Klang probably to load the crane in.
